Our annual Trunk of Treat event is happening on Friday October 31st!

This update from New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) includes important dates on the 2025–26 school year calendar.

To support this critical work, the New York City Department of Education requires all SLT members to participate in a mandatory two-hour training each year.

Your child's attendance matters!
The Attendance Team has created various incentives to maintain good attendance on days before and after holidays.  Therefore, next Monday, September 22, 2025, all students in attendance will receive 5 Cheetah Dollars and they attend a Movie and Popcorn event.  All students in attendance on Thursday, September 25, 2025, will receive an additional 5 Cheetah Dollars and they will be entered into a Raffle for a special prize.

Please check the following time frames for appropriate drop off and pick up times at P.S. 81 Thaddeus Stevens.

Please be aware that ongoing road work by the Department of Transportation may affectbus arrival and dismissal times for PS 81 and P4 students.

Parents/Families must follow P.S. 81/P4 Visitor protocol and always enter through Exit 1/Main Door (990 DeKalb Ave).
